Lily's adjusting to our time

Lily and her friend Myah

Shelly, Noah, Machelle and Lily

Whitney, Lily and Corrine

Lily is adjusting to our time zone and is sleeping very well. She will get up once or twice during the night, but that is better than staying up all night wanting to play. It is good to be home, we have had a lot of visitors and it is good to see everyone. I will be going back to work on the 20th and Amy will be off work until the middle of Sept. Shelly, Amy's sister will be watching Lily after Amy goes back to work. I hope that goes well I'm sure it will.

Hello,
I just was going through all the pictures of children coming home... we came home last December... I just felt the need to look at the babies. I noticed something about Lily that we noticed in our daughter Lia. Lia always held her mouth in an open posture with her tongue placed at the tip, the same as Lily. We discovered after having a swallow study done that she was aspirating on everything... thin liquids etc. Also, she did not sleep well as a result of her aspirating.. she was aspirating because of reflux and once we started her on reflux meds and started some oral therapy she nearly has a normal swallow (in several months it should be all normal). Also, sleeping changed dramatically as soon as we thickened her liquids. 2 ounces of liquid to 5 tablespoons of applesauce is what we started out with. I would insist on a swallow study... this is not uncommon with children from China... please email me if you have any question. wellnitz70@yahoo.com
